Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
Pursuant to the commitment of ADIT FOUNDATION (hereinafter referred to as ‘’the Foundation’’, ‘’we’’, ‘’us’’ and/or ‘’our’’) to be a socially and environmentally responsible Foundation, we have devised this Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (CSR Policy) to explain how the Foundation plans to achieve this objective.
-
What is Corporate Social Responsibility?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is generally a concept whereby firms combine social and environmental concerns in their business operations and interactions with their stakeholders with the aim of providing a sustainable society for the future
generations.
-
How we shall communicate our CSR practice?
We shall identify critical areas of development which shall require our intervention (in terms of funding). The Foundation’s council members will deliberate on various proposals & decide upon the final activity to be funded. The respective organisations will then be communicated our nature of support & period for the same.
-
To whom we shall make donation?
The Foundation preaches a socially responsible culture, as such we are committed to make donations to vulnerable groups located in Mauritius and jurisdictions equivalent to Mauritius (a list has been provided in Appendix 2). Our community involvement ranges from supporting health care programme (NGO like Enn Rev ene Sourir) to environmental awareness (Eco Sud-Wakashio Oil Spill). All donations shall be processed, subject to the following conditions:
- No adverse results obtained following world check and internet search conducted on concerned parties, being the NGO and its Board of Trustees;
- Full due diligence documents (as per our CDD checklist) obtained on the concerned NGO (and on its principals, if required) to whom the Foundation shall donate;
- The donation being made shall not have a direct/indirect link with politics and religions;
- The donation shall, at all times, be in line with the present Policy; and
- This Policy shall be approved by the Council Members through a resolution.
